Trusted Versatility When Conditions Get Real

A favorite among NSP athletes, the NSP Puma Pro Carbon is the dependable choice when conditions are unpredictable. Whether it’s surf, chop, or technical races, the Puma handles it all with confidence, offering stability, speed, and versatility in one of the most user-friendly shapes that’s still a beast in the NSP lineup.

Initially designed for beach racing, the Puma has evolved into a board that excels far beyond the shoreline. It remains highly capable in surf but now performs just as well in downwind conditions and flatwater, making it a truly versatile option for racers looking for one board to do it all.

For 2026, the Puma receives its most significant update in years. Following extensive testing and rider feedback, the outline has been refined, volume distribution adjusted, and the tail shape modified. The standing area and nose now feature slightly reduced volume for improved control and responsiveness, while a new round tail with a more defined edge maintains speed and enhances usability through turns and in surf.

Puma design

Designed by Alain Teurquetil, the Puma shares its bottom and rocker line with the Carolina, offering a familiar glide and feel with improved handling across a broader range of conditions. Built in Pro Carbon construction, the Puma stays light and responsive underfoot, ideal for fast footwork during technical races, quick transitions, and committing to buoy turns when reaction time matters most.

If you prefer a flat-deck board over a recessed cockpit, whether for surf, beach starts, or downwind performance, the Puma Pro Carbon delivers.

Fins:

Our world-class Surf Race 20 is the more appropriate fin for beach racing, buoy racing and the ability to pull off consistent kick turns in the middle of a race or in Travis’ words; “It’s the fin better suited for turning and surfing.”

Dimensions

Pick your weight units for the NSP Puma Pro Carbon dimensions chart:

Length Width Thickness Volume Weight +/- 5%
14'0" 22" Recessed deck 251 Liters 9.76 Kg EST
14'0" 24" Recessed deck 268 Liters 10.32 Kg EST
14'0" 26" Recessed deck 289 Liters 11.06 Kg EST

Why does the dimensions table say EST under “Weight”?

“EST” is short for “Estimated Weight”. Since all NSP Puma Pro Carbon raceboards are hand-shaped to detail by our shapers, weight varies from one board to another within a certain variance. So to calculate a true average weight, NSP reserves the right to manufacture a certain number of boards before publishing the official (average-based) weight.

Pro Carbon Technology

Elite Pro Carbon technology construction when winning is all that matters!

–  Cutting edge aerospace carbon fibers and ultra-light core materials are combined with our unique vacuum construction, making Pro Carbon the lightest, stiffest and fastest racing construction technology available.

–  Featuring a PVC reinforced deck for integrity plus carbon rails for stiffness reducing flex and making the board ultra responsive.

–  Carbon Innegra™ reinforcement adds impact protection around the rail lip, the nose and tail for close quarter battles at race starts and from the chasing racers in a draft train.

–  Pro Carbon is NSP’s most high-performance construction, developed for the most elite athletes in our sport. NSP International Team Riders like Christian AndersenTitouan Puyo, Duna Gordillo and Ty Judson and many more rider use the exact same boards in some of the most grueling races on the tour.

CARBON RAIL BANDS

By using Innegra™ Carbon in favor of “conventional” biaxial carbon, some of the most ding-prone areas on NSP raceboards are drastically reinforced without weight penalties. Ding resistance, durability and damage tolerance all increase, protecting your equipment. All recessed NSP Raceboards benefit from this construction, along with Uni-directional rail bands (on the side) and 100% biaxial carbon layups (on the deck and bottom).
