Carolina Pro Carbon EVO – The Ultimate All conditions Raceboard

The NSP Carolina has long been the go-to race board for paddlers tackling a variety of conditions. From flatwater speed to choppy ocean swells, its versatility has made it one of the most successful and imitated designs in SUP racing history. Now, with the introduction of the Carolina EVO, this iconic board has been fine-tuned to push performance even further.

The Carolina EVO has undergone over two years of development, with its capabilities proven on the world stage when Duna Gordillo won the 2024 ISA Tech World Title on a pre-production model. Built on the foundation of the original Carolina, the EVO version features a refined nose shape and reduced volume, creating a lighter and more responsive feel. These updates make the Carolina EVO an ideal choice for less powerful paddlers, thanks to its lighter and more responsive feel. At the same time, the board’s carefully tuned volume distribution and defining stability ensure that it remains equally effective for more powerful or heavier paddlers, preserving the all conditions versatility the Carolina is known for.

The core design remains unchanged, preserving the signature glide, stability, and all-conditions capability that define the Carolina. However, with its lower centre of gravity and optimised volume distribution, paddlers can now ride narrower widths with confidence, unlocking even greater speed without sacrificing control.

For 2026, the Carolina EVO is introduced alongside fresh new graphics, reinforcing its status as NSP’s most proven, versatile, and sought-after race board.

Fins:

Designed in collaboration with Keith McCulloch and Mike Wazenski, the NSP 22 and 24 racing fins provide elite level tracking, efficiency and acceleration, allowing racers to maximize every stroke.

The Carolina continues to define what an all conditions race board should be, setting the standard for performance and reliability at every level of competition.

Dimensions

Pick your weight units for the NSP Raceboard dimensions chart:

Length Width Thickness Volume Weight +/- 5%
14'0" 20½" Recessed deck 235 L 11.10 Kg EST
14'0" 22" Recessed deck 248 L 11.48 Kg EST
14'0" 23½" Recessed deck 268 L 11.95 Kg EST

Why does the dimensions table say EST under “Weight”?

“EST” is short for “Estimated Weight”. Since all NSP Carolina Pro Carbon EVO raceboards are hand-shaped to detail by our shapers, weight varies from one board to another within a certain variance. So to calculate a true average weight, NSP reserves the right to manufacture a certain number of boards before publishing the official (average-based) weight.

Pro Carbon Technology

Carolina Pro Carbon EVO construction diagram

–  Cutting edge aerospace carbon fibers and ultra-light core materials are combined with our unique vacuum construction, making Pro Carbon the lightest, stiffest and fastest racing construction technology available

–  Featuring a PVC reinforced deck for integrity plus carbon rails for stiffness reducing flex and making the board ultra-responsive

–  Carbon Innegra™ reinforcement adds impact protection in the nose and tail for close quarter battles at race starts, beach race finishes and buoy turn sections

–  Pro Carbon is NSP’s most high-performance construction, developed for the most elite athletes in our sport. NSP International Team Riders like Christian AndersenTitouan Puyo, Duna Gordillo and Ty Judson and many more rider use the exact same boards in some of the most grueling races on the tour.

CARBON RAIL BANDS

By using Innegra™ Carbon in favor of “conventional” biaxial carbon, some of the most ding-prone areas on NSP raceboards are drastically reinforced without weight penalties. Ding resistance, durability and damage tolerance all increase, protecting your equipment. All recessed NSP Raceboards benefit from this construction, along with Uni-directional rail bands (on the side) and 100% biaxial carbon layups (on the deck and bottom).
