From a very early age, Tiago got used to having water as his natural environment. He was an athlete in high competition rowing, where he became National Champion of Long Distance and National Champion of Speed.

After the first contact with Stand Up Paddle, he immediately realised that this was his favourite sport. He invested into personal formations to grow his technique until he opened his own school – SUPA in Albufeira (Algarve – Portugal).

In addition to the role of instructor, and due to his taste for competition, he bet on returning to competitions, now in the SUP RACE modality, being already four times Portuguese Vice Champion.
