Ralph Gillett, the son of Dane (UK) & Madoka (JP) Gillett living in Chiba, Japan at www.splashguesthouse.com

Ralph from a very young age found his love for the ocean often going on camping trips with family & enjoying surfing with his dad. He joined the Junior Life Saving club at the age of 8 & challenged himself at almost all the disciplines & entering any competition he could get to. By the age of 12 his list of achievements was starting to grow as was his confidence in the ocean. This was also the time he really took the bull by the horns and got into surfing in a big way.

Just like his dad his love of less crowded & fast & heavy waves got his juices flowing, but safety was always an issue which is what inspired his dad, Dane, to work directly with NSP on the Teachers Pet range of soft boards.

Ralph scored his first Barrel, cut back snap and much more on the system & is now starting to ride NSP more high-performance boards as well as getting into foiling behind the boat.

With a few more years of school ahead of him Ralph is very satisfied with life right now and the daily routine of surf before and after school. Chee yew.
